The acquisition of IRAB, a Barcelona-based developer of positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceuticals, is part of Archimed’s strategy to expand its presence in the growing diagnostics market. IRAB specializes in developing and producing advanced PET tracers for medical imaging, particularly in oncology.

Archimed will leverage IRAB's technology platform and production capabilities to enhance its portfolio of life science tools and services. The deal is expected to strengthen Archimed’s position as a leader in the European market for PET radiopharmaceuticals, which are crucial for early cancer diagnosis and personalized medicine.

In addition to Deloitte, financial advisory support was provided by multiple undisclosed advisors on both sides of the transaction. Legal counsel for Archimed included Deloitte’s legal team.
