The merger, which brings together LumApps’ social intranet capabilities with Beekeeper’s frontline communication platform, aims to create a global workforce software group. The deal allows Verve Ventures, the majority shareholder of Beekeeper, to distribute significant capital back to its investors.

Strategically, this merger aligns both companies’ mission to connect employees in any role and location with their teams through mobile-first communication tools. LumApps CEO and co-founder Max Reilhac said: “The combination of our technology will allow us to support a much larger customer base around the world.”

In terms of financial context, both companies have raised substantial funding over the past few years. Beekeeper’s most recent investment round was led by Verve Ventures in 2021. LumApps also has strong backing from investors including Index Ventures. The merged entity is expected to benefit from a combined customer base of over 3,500 companies across more than 80 countries.

The deal does not disclose buy-side or sell-side advisors, legal counsel, nor the exact closing date. However, sources indicate that the merger has strategic and financial implications for Verve Ventures’ portfolio company.

Looking ahead, the merged group will operate under the LumApps brand but will maintain Beekeeper’s product line as a distinct offering within the new entity. The leadership team from both companies will work together to integrate their technologies and services in support of this global expansion strategy.
